Using the AutoDesk Inventor  CAD program Luke Reid has constructed a motor-cycle  as part of  his Higher Graphic Communication course.

He made each piece individually using the correct scale dimensions.  As all of the parts must fit together in the final assembly the exact dimensions must be used.

An example is shown  in the Photo Gallery below.  Fig 1 shows the initial 2D sketch of one of the front brake discs.   Fig. 2 shows the disc after changing to 3D mode.  After more CAD processes the finished disc can be seen in Fig 3.

Also in the photo gallery, are pictures of the finished bike after full painting and finishing in Inventor studio.
